FnC Rules
You agree, through your use of this forum, that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of ANY law. This is not only not humorous, but legal actions can be taken against you. You also agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or you have consent from the owner of the copyrighted material. Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are also inappropriate to this forum.
Disrespect, mockery, or blasphemy of Almighty God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Bible, and Christianity are not permitted here. This would include the user name, anything in the user's profile, anything the user might post, and links to other sites that contain such material. Prohibited material obviously includes cursing, profanity, and "fill-in-the-blank" messages that suggest this material. Prohibited material also includes promotion or defense of alternate lifestyles, other religions, atheism, humanism, or other beliefs that are contrary to the teachings of the Holy Bible. Material of such types will be edited or deleted and the user may be banned. These and other rules posted by the Administrator of Freedom In Christ Forum are final and not subject to debate.
Note that it is impossible for us to confirm the validity of posts on this forum. Please remember that we do not actively monitor the posted messages and are not responsible for their content. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any information presented. The messages express the views of the author, not necessarily the views of this forum. Anyone who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to notify an administrator of this forum immediately. We have the rights to remove objectionable content, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately. This policy goes for member profile information as well.

It is your responsibility to present clean and accurate information in your profile. Any information we deem inaccurate or vulgar will be removed.
Please note that with each post, your IP address is recorded, in the event that you need to be banned from this forum or your ISP contacted. This will only happen in the event of a major violation of this agreement.

1. PREAMBLE
FnC is an ecumenical, on-line Christian community, which freely welcomes all people, regardless of creed or country to participate in fellowship through its unique medium.
We, the FnC community, extend to all members the hospitality of open, free discussion and interaction through its forums. We expect all members to extend the right hand of fellowship to all other members, always posting in good faith, seeking first to understand before being understood, being slow to take offense, being quick with grace and forgiveness in the desire to maintain the fellowship of open discussion.
This is a Christian community, founded by Christians and influenced primarily by the Christian desire to reach out to all peoples with the good news of Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior. To that end the Christian members of FnC are expected to reflect the light and love of God in all they do and say; all members are always expected to treat each other, as they themselves would expect to be treated.
By becoming a member of this site, you agree to follow the rules of this site. These rules apply to all communications made on this site, including but not excluding: posts in the forums (including automatically generated sections of posts such as signatures, custom user titles, and avatars), reputation comments and blessings, reports, private messages, and posts in the chatbox. These rules apply to all members of this site, including members of FnC Staff. If you do not follow these rules, your posts may be edited or deleted. Continued rule breaking may result in a suspension or ban. If you are younger than 13, your parent or guardian must provide written consent for you to become a member of this site.
2. Respect one another.
In order for FnC to pursue the goal of keeping Christians as one body united in and by God, while at the same time acknowledging that we also have members from other faiths and worldviews, it is important that we treat one another with respect, whether we agree with others' beliefs and stances on certain subjects or not. Hurtful behaviors and words are wrong and reflect poorly on the Gospel message.
| 2.1 Don't Abuse the Name of God |
1.1 The names or titles of God, including Jesus Christ and the Persons of the Trinity (Father, Son, or Holy Spirit), in any language, are not to be used as expletives or interjections or in an abusive, mocking, or insulting way.

| 2.2 Sharing one's faith |
1.2 Sharing of information about one's beliefs, for instance by quoting Bible verses or witnessing, is encouraged. Honest debate and discussion regarding the existence and nature of God is allowed and welcome. Mockery of Christians, Christians beliefs, and the Christian God is not.

| 2.3 Forum member restrictions |
No forum (with the exception of the teen forums) will restrict entry or participation based upon a member's religious beliefs or lack thereof. Members are expected to obey all of a forum’s rules while posting there.

| 2.4 Flaming or members or groups of members is not allowed. |
Flaming of members or groups of members is not allowed. Flaming is defined as the posting of inflammatory or unsubstantiated accusations or the use of rude, hurtful, insulting, or belittling language. Criticism should be directed at posts, not people.

| 2.5 A member must not harass another member |
A member will not harass another member, either in open forums or in private messages. Harassment is defined as repeatedly and intentionally going out of your way to make another member's experience miserable.

| 2.6 Thread hijacking and derailment |
Thread hijacking, off-topic posting, and derailment are forbidden with the exception of a few jokes and light banter, which are allowed as long as they do not violate any rules.

| 2.7 Slander and deliberate misrepresentation |
Defamation is not allowed. Defamation is an attempt to damage the reputation of a person or persons by slander or libel.

| 2.8 Reasonable Confidentiality |
| Reasonable confidentiality will be respected by Staff and Members, alike. Sharing information which could be considered reasonably confidential is strictly prohibited without the permission of the party whose confidentiality is at stake. This includes the contents of email, private messages, instant messages, Members' real full names, addresses, phone numbers, and IP information (with the exception of private messages in connection with a report, which become part of the public record of that report). |

Members will not post threatening, obscene, vulgar, racist, sexually explicit (including the use of slang sexual euphemisms), graphically violent or illegal posts or links.

| 2.10 Age and gender limitations on some forums |
Some sub-forums have age and gender limitations. Members should respect these.

3. Bypassing the swear filter is not allowed. This is defined as misspelling or using symbols similar to letters or words so that they appear to spell out words excluded by the swear filter.
4. Members will not bypass a suspension or a ban by creating a new account.
5. Spamming will not be tolerated. It is defined as any messages anywhere on this site that are primarily for the promotion or advertising of any website, email address, business, MLM (Multi Level Marketing or pyramid schemes), activity, church, ministry, prophetic services or any other entities or services from which the member will receive any financial or pecuniary gain. This prohibition includes begging or soliciting donations or financial support (charitable or otherwise, for any reason) anywhere on the site including in e-mails, posts, and PMs.
6. Members will not make posts that violate the copyrights of others. In general, this means that any quoted portion of any work must not exceed 10% of the total work. In the specific case of materials owned by the Associated Press, members shall not quote more than one sentence of the work and provide a link to the work.
7. Posts which encourage, support, or give how-to advice on illegal activity are forbidden. Illegal activity is defined as anything not permitted by federal, state, or territorial law in the United States.
So lets make this a save and friendly CHRISTIAN forum.
